“It is not all about me but I consider myself so lucky to have the likes of Dave Anderson (and everyone who has helped me along the way) put their faith in me. It is a TEAM effort and we all contribute to the cause of sourcing good horses.
Not included in the article are two people who have had a huge impact on me both professionally and personally – Austin and Brenda Paul. We’ve had huge success, and even more importantly, even better times together doing this horse thing! Austin is one of the biggest cattle dealers in the country, and I’ve learned an awful lot from him in so many ways, and I just want to say thank you.”
Nor included is another person to whom I’m indebted – Dr. John Cummins, who I have called ‘my secret weapon’ for so many years. I have also helped him with his matings, and out of a small group of 3 to 5 mares, he has bred GI winner Smooth Roller by Hard Spun, amongst other good racehorses.””
