The TDN has identified recent Galway winner Amedeo Modigliani as a rising star, and Marette is understandably delighted!
Says Marette: “Congratulations to Team Coolmore on this TDN Rising Star. Breeders Greg Goodman and Orrin Ingram are understandably thrilled. Gooseberry Fool was bought by them at the 2011 Tattersalls December sale for $440k as a filly in training. This was one of the first of their highly successful forays to the Tattersalls December sale. She hails from one of the best female families in the Stud book developed over the years by Kirstin Rousing. Unfortunately Gooseberry Fool passed away last year after foaling a full brother to Amedeo Modigliani. Hopefully these two will continue her legacy.”
